Help! Diagnosing a fridge problem
Can anyone tell me what model Dometic fridge this is, I thought I knew but looking through 855 manuals it doesn’t show this control panel....or are the manuals posted here just generic but still relevant to this model?

Should be a sticker, like this, inside the fridge, with model and serial number.

That looks like the same panel as on my RMD8555 fridge.

Thanks! I guess the previous owner removed the sticker, but I’ll go with RMD855 at this point. Works fine on gas and shore power, but lights flash and panel clicks rapidly on 12V... off to search manuals!

I would not try to operate the refer off 12v, propane and 120v are the most efficient, you will not get the same cooling off 12v power. As they say FORGETABOUTIT and be happy it works otherwise.

Like this.....low battery? She sits under cover but is plugged into 120 there all the time, but this is the original12V battery and it would be 4 years old....
Oops, video wouldn’t load showing latch light clicking and lights flashing in time....

Yup, it’s not a big problem as we rarely drive more than 4-5 hours in between camp spots, but I don’t like to run it on gas on the road and it has been very efficient swapping it over to 12V while cruising....

Manual found, problem solved....I guess the AES system realizes that without being hooked to 120 or the tow WITH the engine running, it knows running in 12V mode won’t last long on just the battery. So it clicks and flashes to tell its boob owner that there ain’t enough power to keep his beer cold...
Off to the New Mexico mountains....adios 96° and constant daily rain lately! Thanks folks!

Rob, the clicking and lights flashing are symptomatic of a "low battery". The fridge senses insufficient DC power to run on. And from the photo you posted, your fridge is a 2 door Dometic RMD8555, identical to mine.
EDIT: I just saw your last post after I posted my reply.

When dry camping our trailer battery failed (Shorted Cell) and our refrigerator displayed the same symptoms. As rbryan4 suggests I would check the voltage at the battery .
Our interior trailer lights still functioned normally
