Help to remove and replace propane tanks on 5.0

What's your trick to manage getting the tanks in and out of the 5.0? It's difficult/impossible to get the metal bar on the threaded rod and into holes on both tanks.

Hi: julieinwy... This job really isn't tricky...even for my two left hands. Out is simple cause the empty one weighs less. Back in full is more of a challenge. You have to roll the tanks into position so the pigtails are in pointing the right way and close enough for the hold down bar. Some lubrication on the threaded rod is OK too. Remember that the threads on the pigtail hoses are left handed. That's lefty tightie... righty Lucy not... righty tighty lefty Lucy. Alf

Uh, NO, the big green nut with the ACME thread that connects to the cylinder is RIGHT hand thread. nothing left handed about it.

The old type connections to the POL valve, yes that is a left handed thread, but POL valves went the way of the DODO Bird in 2002.

Hi: CharlesinGA... Thanks. I certainly don't want to be "Underhanded". All I know is they're the other hand threads to almost every other ones. Alf
