How do I remove the trim on my Dometic 6.0 cu ft refridgerator

Rainy day here in Intercourse, PA at Beacon Hills campground so I'm puttering around. I posted this on the FB page but no answer yet over there

I want to remove the trim on our refridgerator and freezer doors in order to apply some double sided tape to the faux wood panels. Hoping this will take the load off the lower horizontal trim so they don't sag and/or give way. I don't want to damage the plastic trim. Is there a trick to removal? Or is there a better way to address this issue? Thanks.
