How do you remove the sink screen?
I have a 17B 2018 with a screen on the sink that I can't figure out how to remove? It doesn't turn no matter what type of pliers I use from a channel lock to jewelry pliers. Any suggestions to taking it off. In another post, I fixed the noise of my water pump by removing the pump screen and cleaning out weird hard crystal like crud. I want to make sure the faucet screen is cleaned out, too. Just in case. I'll add a photo, too.
Thanks so very much everyone!

Hi: PleinAirCedar... Looks to me like it needs to be soaked in CLR or Vinegar. Ours just screws off of the white plastic faucet by hand. Alf

If you have really hard water it may have calcium buildup freezing the threads. Happens to us at the house and we find soaking in vinegar helps loosen things up.

I can’t tell the diameter but if you can find a small strap wrench you might be able to turn it off with one of those.

I am going to try sticking it in a glass of white vinegar overnight to see if it helps clean it out. Thanks for the affirmation that I was on the right track.

Cedar: Do you happen to know the make/model? If so it should be easy to find a manual online.

I don't know it off hand but will look to see if its in my collection of users manuals. I did soak it for a couple hours in a glass of vinegar and it is free of build up and runs nicely. Thanks for your help with solving the water pump worry!!!!

It looks to me as though there are small "flats" on a retaining ring around the screen. Have you tried to unscrew that to see if the screen then comes out? Is that what you already tried to remove?

Hi thunderworks,
Yes, they didn't budge and I thought it could be molded in to look like it moved but didn't. No worries, the white vinegar soak took care of the build up.
