My electric power tongue jack all of a sudden on Friday stopped working. I had moved the tongue jack down to remove from ball. Then it worked but then stopped. It would not work at all. The jack not working and the light that is on jack not working. I am currently using the manual method to remove trailer from ball.
I believe that the battery seem to be fine. Full charge.
I have been told that it might be the fuse.
But where is the fuse box for the power tongue jack?
What fuse is to be used?
Any help greatly appreciated before I take it in to Escape to let them fix it.
I installed my own jack and I'm not totally sure that ETI does it the same way.
I took the power from the 7 pin connector box under the tongue on the DS. That's where the incoming 7 pin cable from your tug terminates and connects to the trailer wiring.
The cover comes off easily. Check and see if the wiring from your jack goes there.

My jack has a thermal circuit breaker, no fuse.
Sounds like it could be a poor connection.

Also, prior to me installing my own electric jack, I consulted ETI. The connectors in the box are color coded. The service department advised me to hook the lone black jack wire to the “Black” nut. That would be a good place to start for a loose connection! There is only one wire because the electric jack self-grounds through the 3 bolts used to connect the jack to the trailer frame. Good Luck!

Most electric jacks need to be grounded to the frame for electrical continuity. Since the jack worked fine, and then stopped, I agree with Ron; check the fuse and then ensure there is a continuity (no corrosion, loose fittings, etc.) on the jack to frame.
Actually I hated the idea of grounding the jack to the exposed frame where it's more subject to corrosion. I extended the ground wire and ran it into the box for a nice dry connection. But that's just me.
