Is it my Astigmatism, or..............
Is this window mounted crooked?
The top of the window does not appear to be level with the top of the door, nor is it plumb with the side of the door?

It's a bit hard to tell because the picture looks like it's taken slightly from one side and isn't squared with the door. On the right side of the pic, the distance between the window and the edge of the door looks the same at the top and bottom of the Window. On the left, it looks a little crooked, but it might just be the angle of the picture.
The "OCD" person in me would definitely want to check with a measuring tape.

I agree, can’t tell for sure from that picture. Get a measuring tape.

If I block out the black window and only look at the edge of the glass to the door frame I'm guessing it's right.
I won't be able to sleep tonight not knowing.

Try this one
Sorry, I was squared up to the window (see reflection) best I could.
Try sideways - The door edges and decal tape line are good references...........look at the "bottom" (left side actually) of the window as depicted in the sideways shot, it appears to drop to the right, toward the door handle. I'll include a tape measure shot when daytime again.
The "bottom" of this pic looks worse than the top...weird.......
Question is, can I fix it by just loosening the window frame and adjusting / or will this require resetting / resealing the window?

I don't think loosening anything is going to allow you to just move the window around. IF butyl was used, it's going to be 'stuck' pretty good. That's what butyl is supposed to do, seal the window to the door. But you're not going to know if the window was cut square in the door if you don't remove it. Then if the opening isn't square there's not much you can do except put the window back in. With butyl of course.
Using a tape measure would be easier....

Yep, it's crooked. Those kind of things drive me crazy. Though they didn't make the door, it should have been seen and replaced.

And, no '"sealant" per ETI
ETI responded quickly and said I can just loosen the interior frame screws and re-adjust the window a bit. There is no "sealant". Gasket of some kind I guess.
Yea!
I'll give it a go this afternoon.

Thanks for the definitive 'tale of the tape' pics.
Yep, bummer indeed, that'd irritate me with every glance at the door . .
Good Luck with the adjustment.

Good. All of my slider windows are a gasket also. It speeds up manufacturing. If they ever start leaking. I’ll seal them.

In the residential window manufacturing industry, there has been a strong push in recent years to replace sealant application with gaskets wherever possible. It's done for quality improvement purposes more than the time savings (though there is certainty a benefit in that regard as well).
We find that manual sealant application is a difficult skill to master, even for experienced manufacturing staff. It is one of the least reliable manufacturing processes period. I imagine that the same holds true for the RV industry.....

Glad you didn't blow a gasket over it...

Fixed - easy peasy............
Took about 10 minutes.
Loosened the interior frame screws a bit and gently convinced it from the outside window edges. Just enough wiggle room to adjust level & plumb.
Thanks to Dustin @ ETI for the quick answer/ fix approach.
And yes, just a gasket - no butyl/sealant/goop, etc.
Also, I fixed my cock-eyed license plate holder. ( must have been the same guy that installed the window? ) Drilled out one of the rivets, sealed that hole, leveled it, drilled a new hole, dipped the new rivet in sealant and done, much better to the eyes......... as it should be.

Most importantly I’m happy you were able to straighten your window.
I am planning on replacing my emergency window in on brand new 21c with the old style unit with the screen. I was assuming it has butyl sealant but it’s sounding it has gaskets instead? Can anyone confirm?

Glad to hear you were able to fix it. It's once of those things that once noticed, it would have driven me crazy.
It's amazing how good the eye is at noticing small asymmetries!

I wonder what year ETI switched from sealant to gaskets. Anyone know?

Thanks!, me too..........I was not a happy camper!
Give Dustin a shout @ ETI regarding the above. ( tag Dustin in the subject line)

I bet it is a gasket on a newer model. Didn't you already buy the "old style / screened" replacement? Or, was that someone else?
