Is this damage? Flooring edge, fan, storage.

I am not sure what this is all from. We are buying this trailer and are excited about the purchase and can’t wait to be owners of an Escape! I want to make sure these areas are not a major concern. Attached is picture of the top/ceiling fan and under the storage of the single bed in a 17b. also in the top storage above the double dinette. Is it something just because of age/time and I don’t have to do anything? It is on a 17b 2004.
Thanks in advance!

Well, it is 17 years old.

The contact cement in the cupboard ( pic 3 ) failed, probably because of heat from the sun. Same thing happened inside one of my cabinets and I cemented it back ( and did a lousy job of it - just don't look inside the cupboard ).

Check the caulking around the ceiling fan and re-caulk, if necessary.

I'm sure I could find wear on my trailer since it's now over 12 years old.

The trailer is 17 years old. Many Jaycos half that age have already died off.

When my Escape 17B was 12 years old, the bathroom vent started leaking a bit. I replaced the 9x9 bath vent and resealed the rest of the roof appurtances.

The vinyl wall covering, glue that back on with a contact cement.

The vinyl flooring, mine curled a bit too just like that. I didn't bother trying to glue it, I just trimmed it back a bit.

You still have 50 years of memories to be made with that trailer. Store it in a barn over the winter and keep it waxed.

I agree with the other posts. It looks like the contact cement has oxidized over the years along certain seams. Not an issue, easy to reapply some glue.

You might have to use a heat gun to make the vinyl more pliable
So it will lay down evenly when you glue it and I would advise where possible to weigh it down for a couple days after re-gluing so it gets a good bond. I would use an exercise weight if I had one. Personally I do not so I would use a railroad track tie plate or a piece of rail, of which I have several. It is common for Escape owners to spend a little time each spring inspecting the openings on their escape and to recaulk with Proflex caulk where needed.

The vinyl in our 2010 is doing the same thing at the edges which are all inside dinette seating or under the bed. No big deal.

Previous owners of our 2010 stored the trailer in a cover over the summer and the full sun exposure and resultant heat has made the contact cement fail in a number of areas like the floor and the laminate edges around the door. On top of that the sun has trashed a number of the exterior plastic caps and fittings. One fix at a time.

I am so relieved to read all these comments. Thank you all for taking the time to share your thoughts and experience! I thought this was likely. The peeling I saw was only in the storage area under the benches. Phew! I am probably going to leave it is my guess. At least for now.

Yeah, I've got vinyl lifting in the back dinette areas and that MaxFan brown goop looks like someone turned on the fan, but NOT the stove hood fan. Take the shroud off on the inside, clean and reinstall. It's held to the ceiling with four Robertson (#2) screws.

Thank you! I am looking forward to settling in and doing these little jobs once it arrives.
