Kitchen Faucet Aerator

Our 2020 21C has the stock kitchen faucet, which I think is a LaSalle Bristol model. The aerator is somewhat plugged up. It does not have the usual screw-on piece that gives access to the aerator, and I do not see any obvious way to take it apart. Has anybody done that? I really do not want to destroy or replace the faucet. Perhaps it just pops out.

An alternative. Try soaking it in vinegar for a few hours. This usually cleans it without disassembly.

From the outflow end towards the threaded inlet
Compressor blow gun? rinse and repeat.
Just a thought. Our original owner installed a filter under the sink in the back of the sink cabinet. Cold Fresh water line. I bought 9 replacements once I found the right one and have changed it each spring.

Vinegar is your best 1st attempt

If that doesn't work, it appears the black plastic ring surrounding the aerator screen has 2 sets of opposing slots, 90 degrees apart. A screwdriver flat blade in 1 of them and then unscrewing may allow disassembly, after vinegar soaking. There are specialized tools for this operation....pinch ring pliers come to mind might fit and work. Even a more specialized tool than that likely, somewhere, exists, I assume.

After that....you're on your own. If it's sand nuggets or other detritus clogging things, you'll need to remove that plastic ring.

Some recessed faucet aerators are removed with a special tool like this:

Not sure about this specific Lasalle Bristol faucet though.

Could call Lasalle customer service too. Their online literature is lacking.

After the vinegar soak, hold it in your hand with the bottom side up against the faucet and by sealing with your hand give it a good blast with water. Make sure your hand is making a good seal or you will get wet!
