leaky heater exhaust pipe (water)

We have found that a huge source of water intrusion comes from the heater exhaust pipe. If while washing/ spraying the side of the coach or even a heavy rain, water will leak into this fixture, run across the floor and puddle in the center of the coach. Has anyone built a cover, hood or shield for this exhaust pipe?

We fixed the roof leak but now this issue has popped up......

Steve, I try to be VERY careful when washing to not spray water directly into any of the various covers, grills, A/C, etc of our trailer. I learned that the hard way on our first RV when washing the roof. I sprayed water directly into the A/C unit - and a LOT of the water ended up on the floor.

I haven't heard of water being able to get inside from rain into the heater vent. Has it happened often, or just in a really driving hard rain? Driving in a really hard driving rain made some water come in a bad caulk bead on our front window, that never leaked before or during "regular" rains.

well I had a leaky screw in my bathroom roof vent that just got fixed and we haven't had a downpour since. The puddle from the roof ended up in the same spot, that's why it's suspect. I washed the trailer and noticed the intrusion. I will be more careful in the future and hope that the next downpour won't be an issue. shouldn't be long as it's monsoon season down here.
