LED awning lights on the blink

We have been very lucky to have had very few issues with our year old 21NE. Last trip the awning lights would come on dimly and blink. Up or down light control did not change the constant dimming and flashing. By time we got home the lights would not work at all. ETI sent me new controller and remote which I replace today. Nothing changed. Not sure how you replace the lights or even if that is the issue. The existing lights are glued to the trailer with some white putty at the terminals. What is that stuff? What sticks the lights to the trailer fiberglass and how do you remove them? Is there a dedicated fuse for the awning lights and if so where to look? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The first thing I would do is check for voltage on the wiring coming from the trailer to the light control/switch. If you have voltage, then the problem is with the controller or the lights themselves, if you do NOT have voltage, the problem is on the trailer wiring side.

*usually* stuff like light tape is secured to a smooth hard surface with double sided foam tape, such as 3M VHB.

Thanks John in Santa Cruz. I cut the supply lines to the LEDs. A pain since you have to access the wires held by a clip with a screw facing the rear of the trailer in an overhead too small for my head. Full 12v when tested, which means I need to find a more reliable LED strip light. Any suggestions from anyone for a replacement?

I'd need to see a picture of what they used.

I've mostly played with R/G/B color led tape, which you probably do NOT want here

Hi: All... I wouldn't want to get rid of the blinking lights... They're probably optional!!! Alf
