Low shower pressure

Hi. Picked up our 17B last summer, everything's doing fine except one issue we've had since the beginning: when we're on the water pump, the pressure from the shower head is awfully low. Water flow is fine from the sink faucet and fairly ok from the bathroom sink faucet, but the shower ...

Any tips would be appreciated!

That's pretty normal when you're on your tank water using the pump. First do the obvious by checking to make sure the water shut off button on the shower handle isn't partially pushed.

The water pump is a relatively low gpm model, and it's a low flow shower head as well, in order to save water.

There are a couple of things you can do. The first is to swap out the stock shower head with an Oxygenics RV Spa shower head. It doesn't use any more water than the stock shower head, but it has a "self pressurizing" effect by forcing the water through a unique orifice which makes it feel like better flow. I highly recommend it. And, when you're camping with water hookups, the Oxygenics is even better.

The second thing you can do will increase the amount of water used, and that's to change out the stock water pump with one that has a higher gpm flow.

Personally I would try to just live with the lower gpm stock pump and swap out the shower head. Always good to save water when you're boondocking because you can stay out longer.

We avoid using the trailer's shower when boondocking if possible, because nothing will empty your tank faster. The exception is when we boondock where potable water is readily available nearby.

Here's a link to the Oxygenics shower head:

The biggest difference between the faucets and the shower head would presumably be the extra hose and flow restrictions. That suggests that the shower would be more satisfactory with more pump output pressure (which would enable higher flow rate). Pumps have a pressure control device (as simple as an on-off switch, or as sophisticated as a variable-rate bypass mechanism). Pump models used by Escape vary, but pumps routinely include an adjustment (within some limited range) for the output pressure, so I would check the pump's installation and operation documentation for that adjustment.
