Need new propane tank cover for 2017 17B

I was towing my 17B in some truly horrendous cross winds the other day and when I got where I was going I noticed the propane cover that covers both of the propane tanks on the tongue was missing. Didn't think that was even possible, but it happened. I hope nobody was in the path of wherever it went when it came off on the freeway.

On etrailer.com I see two possibilities for the original equipment one:

I'm pretty sure it is this one which is for 2-20lb tanks:

This one fits either 2-20lb or 2-30lb tanks. It's a little taller and I could see how Escape might have gone with the bigger one for whatever reason:

Does anyone know for sure which one it is?

Next time I'm going to put a bungee on it or some other sort of tie down.

2-20 lb tanks is the Std.
And, yes, they can fly away.

I just checked mine yesterday, and found that one of the little tabs that I hook the bungee to was broken, so I just drilled a couple of new holes in the bottom of the cover just above the base rib.

Escape supplies their trailers with the smaller dual 20# cover.

Looks like it to me ( unless you opted for 30 lb. tanks ). I keep mine attached to the trailer with a zip tie run down through the slot, around the propane tank handle and back up through the slot.

I drilled 2 small holes on each side and ran an elastic cord underneath to keep it from flying off...

Tank cover

Sorry to hear you lost your cover. Jim Norman posted some time ago that it was advisable to put a bungee across the bottom of the tanks which I did. Then Bill S advised two small zip ties be installed across the tabs that hinge the inspection covers. Another good idea. A few years ago when we had a free tarp at Niagara Falls one of the fellows brought up a cover with no inspection lid. As he went to leave it in the tarp I told him you can buy a replacement lid. He did not know that and we looked one up on the phone. Sure enough. So he then took the cover back home for a spare And with the advice to install the bungee across the bottom. Iowa Dave

Thanks everyone, and Jim for the photos. Now I have another small project once I get the replacement.
