New battery disconnect?
Looking for suggestions for replacing the battery disconnect switch. The ETI furnished one crapped out on the road back from Fort Pickens. Touch the handle and lights blink. Never liked the handle one because it tends to get bumped under the dinette.
I would like some sort of rotary type that would not look terrible. Any good suggestions?

Someone mentioned that Escape is now installing the round type, similar to this type (this one has a removable knob when off)

Many options on eBay for battery disconnect switches under $20 which ship direct from China. Great selection from Summit Racing in US including this. one that caught my eye. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-830058
Also many switches of this type from auto parts stores and Amazon.

Mine was dead the first time I tried it coming back from pickup. I wanted somting a bit smaller than the Blue See option. Got this one on Amazon, smaller in the front with nice large connection posts.

Nice to hear. Ours keeps getting bumped off so we plan to install one of these soon, as well. Thanks for posting everyone.
We see that ETI used the same switches for the fresh water heating pads under the bench. Pondering if we should go ahead and switch those out with a rotary one, as well. Those don't get used very much at all, but seems like a good thing to do, so they don't get turned on accidentally. Has anyone done this or have advice?

When I had the heat pads I installed a lighted switch when activated, it was under the bed but it was easy to see the light on. You do not want to have the pads on while not connected, your batteries will be depleted quickly. This is why I did not get them on my subsequent Escapes, with hookups I have electric heat and with heat, the tanks are okay. I'm surprised the heat pads do not come as 120v models....

Thanks Jim. We were wondering the same....would hate for the batteries to be accidentally depleted from the heating pads while camping off the grid. We're thinking of replacing the 2 heating pad switches under the bench with this:

A switch with a light is also a good idea. Switching future trailer's heating pads to 120v only might also be a good suggestion to ETI - since it's not meant to be used with DC power anyways. Thanks, Bea
