New Dometic 2663 refrigerator

I really like the larger 2 door model and it cools down really fast. Today I turned it on using 120v source and within 4 hours I had freezing temperatures. I have one question though, there is a piece of clear plastic on the bottom shelves, over the dual crispers. It appears this plastic is removable, just lying there on the shelf? What are others doing with it, removing and letting cooler air down or keeping the crispers covered? Any ideas on keeping or removing the clear plastic sheet?
