New Fridge died in a strange way

New fridge was working fine but suddenly died. You go to turn it on all the amber lights will light up at the same time for a split second then all go out. No fault code, no power up on 12V or 110V anyone ever heard of this before? Yes, all fuses checked out ok. Thanks (Dometic RM2354)

If you haven't, try holding the power button for 3-4 seconds. This sometimes will re-set the control panel. Then press the power choice you desire. Good Luck!

Sounds like control panel issue. Warranty appt. probably best route since you would appear to be covered.

We had the same experience with our fridge, after much testing it turned out to be a bad connection with the control panel. It happened on the road so we had to take it an RV dealer and they traced the problem. I think the control panel comes out with removing a couple of screws.

On my model it does. Recently I had removed the front panel to add extra insulation on top. Must have pulled too hard on the wires when I moved the control panel aside because I had a similar problem. Pulled off the control panel and sure enough the connector plug was slightly askew. Pushed it back on and it works fine.

Might be worth just pushing on the connector. Maybe vibration has loosened it. Doesn't cost anything to try.

Ron and Dunnet,
by fridge control panel... do you mean the one inside the trailer with the amber lights or do you mean the circuit board outside the trailer that has all the fridge sensors connected to it, it also has a few screws holding it in?. Appreciate the help.

It was the control panel over the fridge inside the trailer, there are a couple of screws you can see when you open the door.

Look at Control panel connections, checked out fine. Still DOA. Thanks for the ideas. I notice sticker on the fridge says made in China.
