New GoPower 30amp MPPT solar controller
Wonder how this will fare as a competitor to the Victron 30 amp MPPT controller.

Looks like it gets BT functionality only when wired to the $99 MPPT BT enabled display.

The app seems to require updating every 3-4 months or so, but has always worked. I did have to add their Bluetooth extender dongle to the 100/50 to be able to read it from the truck.

GoPower also has a very nice battery monitor if you’re interested. Not very expensive.

My Bigfoot has all GoPower products. I find the battery monitor very useful.
So far everything is working just fine.
As previously stated, great customer service. I’ve e-mailed twice with questions. Prompt response.
While the Bluetooth might be sketchy on the controller unit all the information is readily available by simply looking at the hardwired display.
Enjoy your new Escape. A fine choice.

I have the ETI instated GoPower Controller. GP-PWM-30_UL. Is this device Bluetooth enabled? I Downloaded the app and tried to connect but no joy. I've read about the 'cold reboot' but didn't try it yet. Anything else to be done?

Yes, it is Bluetooth enabled. No, the app is on the fritz for IOS. Android devices were also down, but I think they are now working. Still a week or so out before the IOS app will be fixed according to GoPower.

I downloaded the app this week for Android so it should be the latest. 1.6.5 if memory serves

I was focusing on the IOS app when I was talking to GP tech support. Now that I think about it, the tech wasn’t certain that the Android app was fixed. He said something like “IOS update is a couple if weeks away, but Android should be fixed”.
Sounds like it isn’t.
I still get a “Failed to initialize” error on IOS.

I didn't get a run time error on my attempt, just 'no devices found'. That tells me it was running properly but could not find anything it recognized.
That's why I was thinking maybe it was n ot Bluetooth enabled.

Interesting. To add further to the complexity, the IOS app continues to find the controller and displays it on the app. But, when I touch the graphic, I get the fruitless spinning circle followed by the failure to initialize message.
Good thing the controller has a screen.
