makes Dometic looking good.

Here's one written by a Law Firm. Lots more if you search RV refrigerator lawsuits ... RV refrigerator Recalls ... etc.
Dometic/Norcold Refrigerator Recall | RV Fire Lawsuit Attorney
Dometic and Norcold have recalled several models of refrigerators due to the risk of fire. These defective refrigerators were installed in travel trailers, motor homes, RV's, 5th wheel trailers, luxury recreational vehicles, fifth wheelers, horse trailers and other conversion vehicles manufactured between June 1, 2003 and April 30, 2007.

And Dometic's has expanded too 1997 - 2006. This is not good news.
Dometic Recall Information

We had a 2007 5th wheel with a Dometic refrigerator that got recalled "due to fire hazard". Our 2010 5th wheel had a Norcold refrigerator which also got recalled "due to fire hazard". With in a month the recall got recalled!
We fulltimed in both of these 5th wheels and had far more trouble with the Norcold that the Dometic.

We have had Dometic refrigerators in our last four RV's and never had any trouble.
Pass this on to your friends that might have a model listed in the .pdf. More frigs were added to 2006 but are not listed on this document.

Best advice is to avoid not to buy a used, older SOB rv with either model. I have not heard of any fiberglass fires caused by these refers.

You can save a lot of money by taking it in and having the free recall done 😀
My local RV shop says it will still work better then the new ones like we have. They have one to sell me but it won't fit through our door. Many trailers loaded the frig through the rear windows but our 19's windows are too small too.
