Buy? In Iowa we have 25% of the worlds best soil. It will grow most anything. The ditches are full of all kinds of cannibis sativa and it’s not all escaped material from rope production in WWII. In late summer and into the fall our state bird the Eastern Goldfinch feeds heavily on the seeds and sings his little heart out all day long.

It is worth buying an Escape trailer, so you can learn from, and get to know Fred, Dora, Donna, Dave, Glenn, Jim, and the other Jim, and all the other folks who make up this amazing community.
Regardless of any problems with any trailers and regardless of any management changes at the factory, this family of owners, make the whole experience worth the effort.

And I have to give a shout out to Bill and Earline as well. We had just gotten our new escape and managed to back into a (challenging) camp site at a provincial park near Chilliwack. We were tired and wet from unhitching in the rain. Bill saw our new Escape and wandered over with a warm welcome. He even returned later with some of his top tips for happy Escaping (zip ties on the propane cover, shower curtain clip on the dump hose tube, and several other little but highly useful things). He taught us how to torque the lug nuts then made me do it while he watched—good teaching. Earline added a few interior tips as well. We felt welcomed to the family and more confident in our ability to manage. Thanks folks.
Today we ran into Escape Hatch II at a gas station in Newfoundland and met Alf, now parked next to us at an RV park in L’Anse aux Meadows. Small and very wonderful world.

Hi Catherine and Sally
You have managed to meet two of the most accomplished and nicest camping couples on the road. And there are dozens more to meet yet. Hope you’re enjoying your camper and your adventures. Be careful, they will talk you into a rally and you’ll be hooked. If Bill asks you to be a road guard while he washes bugs off his trailer where it’s verboten, tell him you’ll work for a cold one. And if you see him walking towards the shower with a tent pole you can only guess.

Today I winterized DejaView using the ez winterization option set up and one gallon of antifreeze. I inserted a quick connect nozzle only in both outside showers until the pink flowed and then went inside and repeated with both sinks and toilet. The newer E21 has the pump located in the rear dinette, right over the fresh tank. The original E21 had the pump under the bed, next to the water heater and there was a very long run from the pump to the fresh tank. Thus the move of the pump eliminates the long run and any water left in the line is minimized. I also found that the fresh water release works easy with the faucet open, otherwise there is pressure on that plastic valve. All n all 15 minutes. I also installed some fine screen on the water heater vent to keep out pests. Poured the rest in the shower drain.
