On the Alaska Highway headed north our oven door got knocked off on the stretch near the Alaska/Canada border. It was hanging by one hinge when we arrived in Tok Alaska. I got it off and straightened the bracket and reinstalled it. It seemed to be pretty heavily spring loaded to snap it in. I bought two eye screws and a bungee cord to secure it for travel and it stayed in place for the balance of our Alaska trip. That said, crazy measures like that should not be required. Frost heaves on the Alcan are way beyond anything normal. We had put on at least 30,000 miles prior to this trip.and never had an issue. I think we could do normal trips and the door would be fine. So that said I wonder if the internal clips are bent and could be straightened if you were willing to pull the oven out? If not the bungee might be an answer. Seems like I remember a good bit of info out on the internet on a general search. Seems like I had to use a pliers to get the bracket snapped into the correct position when reinstalling.
