I wish I could help you. We keep our music on my phone, so pair it to the Boss radio frequently. I turn on the Boss radio. Then I turn on the phone's blue tooth and "Boss Radio" appears on the list of available blue tooth devices. I select it and once it connects, I can select PHONE on the Boss Radio. Then the music plays from the Boss speakers.
once paired, a BT device like a radio should remember the pairing, as should your phone.
with my pioneer car stereos, you have to go into the menu, find 'phone connect', and do a dance where you set your phone to be listening for new devices, then choose phone connect on the stereo, and accept the pairing when it assks you if the code is OK. but once you've done this it remembers it, even if the power is disconnected entirely.
my friend got a Boss brand car stereo, he says its awful and buggy, and locks up on him at least once a week such that he has to disconnect it from the car, not just switch it off. I told him to get a Pioneer or Alpine or Kenwood, but he's cheap.
ETI suggests i contact Boss to find out why. I am tired of all this "do it yourself".
