Pesky leak in bathroom

Our new E21has s pesky leak from under the frameless bathroom window area. Slow drops form under the window seal and water runs down to that little shelf joint then onto bathroom floor in shower. Tried to make it leak twice w garden hose on full force thru nozzle. At local local RV svc center...Even ran water onto it from direct front. No leak. Twice we have driven thru heavy rain this past week. Both times we had water in shower and under window and in wall under window. What gives? Is the air flow at speed 60-62 mph enuf to lift window away from seal just enuf or what?? Grrrr

At least it is in the shower...... I'd be afraid to full force a hose against those windows, the little gasket is very thin. Did you check to see if it is deformed or not, it goes along the bottom but stops and there is a gap in the middle.

Looks ok. Still wonder if it is due to high air flow on the road Probably it was missed in the soak room like I missed it’s the hose9

Yours being new it's probably not the case but on mine I had a leak at the bathroom window that actually ended up being the caulk around the vent that's above the window. The 21 may be completely different from my 5.0TA. I can't see the roof in any pictures on ETI's site.

We had the same thing only we have the older style of window. Not sure how the framless works so it may not be pertenent to your window. We had lots of water in the bathroom area and we couldn't figure it out. It was dirt clogged in the drain on the outside of the window. We took a small sharp object to clear like a bamboo skewer.

I had the same thing happen, check the outside caulking around the powered vent in the ceiling. And the obvious, do not travel with the vent in the up position.

Our 2017 E19 had a mysterious bathroom leak. The culprit tuned out to be a hairline crack in the bathroom vent cap, which is fastened with a screw. The crack was so fine I didn’t see it until I held the cap up to the light. BTW, the leak only appeared after a heavy rain or if snow had accumulated on the vent cap. Perhaps this info will help in your quest to find the source of your bathroom leak. -Tom

A bathroom is the ideal place for leaks. (I take one there several times a day.)

Never travel w bathroom vent open..and cannot make the thing leak w hose watering..even onto roof..seems to be ONLY in rain while toad. grrr. It is like a boat porthole which one cannot completely dog down..eventually that "little leak" will result in alot of mold. Waiting to see what ETI sez could be the fix...

No mold when the water can drain out. Besides, it only happens when towing, put down a towel while towing, problem solved. Simple fix

said trighten the screws at bottom of frame..they are already tight. I guess they may send new window, but daggone. I hate to do that and have some local really give us a leak!!! shux who knows

Sometimes the cure is worse than the problem.......if you remove that window you will definitely have leaks....like I said earlier, just throw down a towel, at least it is in the bathroom. .

Unless I'm mistaken, the bathroom is a separate enclosure. Can't tell what's leaking down between the inner bath wall and the outside shell, I'd get it fixed.

Hollybee, over in NC there is an RV center that sells new Northern Lite's. Being as how they are molded fiberglass it might be experienced. Might be worth a call.

Your Escape has trunnion depressions around the entire perimeter, any water that leaks should escape through drain holes underneath.......

The leak happened again, two days ago, after a torrential downpour we had. Trailer was sitting level in my driveway..not being toad. Window was dogged down. Water is in the lower frame channel, outboard of the screen, and along the waist joint [inside the shower], and in the floor and some even dripped down beside the toilet as well, this time. .
I am wondering if it might be leaking at the joint between the fixed upper and the opening lower pane. Have corresponded w Parts & Service guys..waiting to see what they recommend.
We have also heard on SM that there were two types of bath windows used in 2019 E21C. .. Does anyone know which is better?

Are there weep holes in the lower window frame so water drains out? I had to drill them in a couple of my windows. If this were the problem the bottom of the track would fill up and overflow.
