It's very valid. So valid that years ago spurious radio signals were a real problem with the remote control flying community. I was once flying at level cruise when all of a sudden my plane took a nose dive and augured itself into the ground.
Other times I could place the plane on the ground and without any input controls, watch the ailerons and rudder just twitch.
Radio interference (RF) is a very real problem in our wireless environment.
