Probably dumb propane question...

When you are not camping, (trailer in the driveway) is it "smart" to turn the propane off at the tanks until you leave to camping again?

Shamefully,
Fred Alexander

Not a dumb question at all. I always turn it off until I'm ready to head out again. The night before leaving, I plug the refer in to cool down and turn the propane on in the morning to make certain everything is working before unplugging from my house power. I run the refer on propane while traveling.

Probably dumb propane question...

Hi Fred
We always do, just in case. Beside unless the fridge or furnace is on the propane does nothing.

Cheers

I do and don't, but if I've had it shut off, I turn the tanks on and then light the stove top. It can take a while for the propane to reach the burners but when it does, you know you have propane in the lines and can light the fridge.
