Providing your own sinks and faucets

We are working on the build sheet for our 21 to be hatched in December. I want a larger sink and a faucet with a flexible nozzle. Please tell me if you supplied your own, what you chose and if you are happy with them. Photos would be great.

Thanks
Mitzi

We kept the smaller sink in stainless and supplied a single handle bar faucet. Bar faucets fit the smaller sink perfectly. Doing dishes in the small sink was not a problem for me (and we wanted to keep the counter space) but I understand that you may want to upgrade to a bigger sink. Just make sure the faucet does not hang over the sink too far.

We just bought a Just 1815 sink from amazon and a delta faucet, a little spendy. Another 21 owner has this set up and loves it.

A couple thoughts on your choices. A larger sink is not really needed, it both takes up space, and uses way more water. Anything 12" wide is more than enough. I am putting in my own sink, as I want a square one that matches the stovetop I bought. Boy, it is hard to find one just the right size without getting too big.

As far as taps go, I have heard from a couple people that did not get a pull-out because of the space restrictions under the sink. I am still contemplating one myself, as even if it pulls out 6" that will help out a lot.

I kn

Don't feel bad, I outspent you by $31 for this sink.

I plan to mount it dropped in, not undermount.

Good thing I got a good deal on the Dickensian cooktop, 'cause those babies are pricey too.

Did Escape drill the holes for the faucet when they installed the sink?
