Re-program Dometic one touch

Our awning remote decided to quit using the one touch feature to open and close the awning. It got to the point that the buttons had to be held down to use it. I attempted to use the reset instructions for the awning and remote, but still could get it to work right.
I sent a note to Dave at ETI and asked for help. He sent the following information. I just tried it and it worked! The one touch feature is back. I thought I would share this in case someone else needs to re-program.

Dometic Awning Adjustment for one touch.

Push P-2

Awning will Jog

Push P-2

Pause 5 secs

Separately push the close button on the remote then push the open button on the remote.

Push P-2

Awning will Jog

Push close on remote then push open on remote.

The receiver will beep 3 or 4 times, then the program is complete.

Yes. It is the upper left corner button. You have to use something like a ball point pen to press it.

Was your 9500E awning model the Model 231? I can't figure out how to insert a picture of my remote but from the top to the bottom the buttons are: UP, Stop, Down, then LEDs/.
