Rear dinette bed in 17b

The rear dinette is always set up as a bed. The table seems to only fit one way, with angled edges of table facing front. Have tried to turn it so straight edge faces front to no avail. Just won't go into the grooves in this direction. Please advise. Tia, Julie

There's a bit of taper in the bench faces and rails. If you measure the distance between the rails across the back, and then the front, you'll notice they aren't exactly the same. So, the table was built to accommodate that, and only goes in one way. The slight taper is hard to see, but it's there.

It shouldn't pose a problem. There's still enough support along the front without the corners of the table.

Same problem in the 15, and it isn't as stable now that I have the tri-fold mattress on it. I may put a short piece of plywood across the front to stabilize the mattress a little more (easy to move if I want access to the storage.)

I've not had a problem with the rear dinette as a bed. The cutoff edge faces the front.
At the front of the trailer, I found the bed more stable with the cutoff edge facing the front wall. It was only an issue when perched on the edge of the bed.

I would probably prefer it that way Glenn, but the OP can't flip it around. Unless the rail width is the same in the front as well as the back, you can't reverse the table. The gap is supposed to be the same, but this isn't the first one I've seen where there was a slight difference. On our 19, it fits better with the beveled front facing in, and it's very tight the other way.
