Replacement arms for front window cover

Hello,

The hatch arms for our front window cover were damaged in a wind gust in the early days of us owning our trailer. 2017 Escape 19. Utah Goblin Valley wind!

I asked Escape about replacements, and was told:
Unfortunately the manufacture of those windows has since sold their business to Lippert, we do not have replacement arms for the hatch.
These arms are aluminum and prone to damage, so I imagine I'm not the first to seek a fix. Anyone come across suitable replacements?

They don't look like they would be too hard to machine new ones, but I figure I would start with replacement.

S.

These are not easy to come by. Some internet sleuthing shows that All-Rite Custom Manufacturing makes window rock guards. According to their catalog page they will sell the arm hardware separately in different lengths. This is unlikely to be the same arms used on the Escape window but depending on the extent of damage and your resourcefulness maybe you could make them (or pieces of them) work.

Hi FlatlandFlyFisher, Thanks for posting! Yesterday as I was washing and waxing our trailer, I noticed the left nob on our front window shield was loose. The right nob was tight, could only be turned a quarter turn either way, but the left one could spin in circles. Then I realized the nut had come loose behind it. I think every time we were opening it, it was being unscrewed a little every time. So I tightened the inside nut and now I know to keep a close on it. Now we'll make sure every screw is snug and secure on the shield, not only for travel, but when the shield is open - especially if those aluminum arms are no longer stocked at ETI!

Hope you're able to fix your arms... looking forward to your report! Thanks again! -Bea

What I would like to do is replace them with light duty spring or gas shocks. This way they are automatic and hopefully always level.
