I found a replacement on Amazon after a couple of failed attempts. It is slightly shorter so it’s positioned closer to the window cover but it doesn’t create any problem. Also, I had to use the locking tongue (the part seating under the window lip when locked) with the one from the original latch. Installed over a year ago, no issues after few thousand miles.
Both of ours broke years ago. I always figured we'd be better off whittling new ones of wood - but haven't done it yet. We manage to latch and unlatch our window cover without a handle. The thing fits so tightly that I'm not at all sure the latches are needed.
