If anyone finds that one of their front door hinges loses its pin while you're driving, and you need to MacGyver a solution so you can use your door, a 3" X 5/16" bolt with a long unthreaded collar, a couple rubber washers, and a lock nut should do the trick.

I am curious...there must be a story here as to how you found this out!
Pulled into a gas station in Kelowna, BC, after driving over the Coquihalla from Vancouver. My wife tried to go into trailer while I fuelled up, and the door wobbled away on its single working hinge. It was late on a dark, rainy night, thankfully the Home Depot was a few blocks away. With a little trial and error we found a workable solution to replace the hinge and get on our way!
I had heard a little metallic tinkle while we were driving. I assumed I must have driven over something. Maybe the pin fell out and tinkled on something as it fell.
I have never had issue with a hinge, but I did have to tweak the catch pin a bit so it would not slide out. I just bend the top end a bit and it has held tight for a couple years now.
