Hey, I have a 2018 Escape 21, delivered in January of that year. I have 1 solar panel and 2 of the Interstate batteries. Last weekend the Propane gas detector started chirping. I hit mute on the device but it came back on once or twice. I spoke with Dustin at Escape and he recommended that I check the batteries. I'd not checked them before and I was surprised when I got the back bench open to discover that say 30% of the battery box is under the plywood bench. Dustin explained that I'd need to disconnect and pull the 1st battery in order to get to the second. Not as difficult as I thought it would be and all the battery cells in both batteries were very close to being full. I topped off the batteries and then closed the box, which was less the tightly closed when I'd opened it.
I then pulled the Atwood RV Propane Gas Detector. The built on date on the back says it was built 2 years before the trailer was. so that's 54 months and the device says to replace it at 84 months. I understand that's not unusual and that the 2 year warranty began at time of vehicle purchase.
So I began to search for a replacement. No one has them. After 2 exchanges with Dustin he sent me this:
Hey Tom,
These are no longer being manufactured and will have to be replaced by a different product. Click here for the new unit we use today.

I ordered one of these units.
It's not the same size as the original and comes with a mounting bracket that I cant figure out. mounting screws for the bracket block the unit and it doesn't fill the existing hole.
So has anyone else worked with this unit? Any advice? I did ask Dustin if they have any sort of blank to fill the hole and he said not now.
Thanks
