On and off for several days we’ve had the Propane Gas detector going off (turning red and alarm) to green (being fine. Anyone have any ideas on fixing this? Replace? Fuse? Cut the wire TIA!
We have had to replace our propane detector every three years since we bought our escape 21. And yes, we did try vacuuming our face plate and other suggestions. We also found that when charging the battery, which is under our dinette seat, the detector go off as it aged. Our Stor-dry humidity control device also set it off when brand new. The new oily smell was significant and it appeared to set off the propane alarm. And we had the propane shut off. I ended up installing a shutoff switch inside the dinette seat next to the battery for use when stioring the trailer over the winter.
There is a long thread on this topic on the forum. Do a search and it should come up. If I were on my computer I would find it for you.
