The screen worked fine until our big dog went through and pulled part of the screen out of the plastic on the latch side near the bottom. Now I wonder how to get the door out and possibly have it repaired this winter.
I have had to put mine back together a lot of times. Easy to do once you get the hang of it. Still, love the convenience of it.

HeeHee. When I sold the motor home it went with the comment "See the duct tape holding that window together? That's when Sunny saw the musk ox."
Seems the screen door isn't big dog friendly; I figure it can't be used when he is loose in the 21 without a kiddie gate. Open to any other suggestions.
Our dog tried to jump through the screen once, and it was all my fault. He is trained to never go through an outside doorway without permission, and it was early evening and I thought the screen was open. He is now a bit hesitant to go through, and really likes it when he sees one of us go through first.

I cannot count how many times my dog and I went through the screen door. I finally sprayed it with paint using a decorative stencil so it can be seen. Others have used other methodolgy to enable easier visibility. I have only had it go out the bottom, not the side. Bottom diaplacements are very easy to fix. Welcome to the club!
The Vista Plus screen manual in your Escape Owners Manual has pretty good installation instructions, but they're in french....Oh wait, turn it over .
Very right you are. When I put in my cork flooring, I took it right out and reinstalled it. Got to understand just how it works.

My dog isn't trained enough to not go through a door, especially when a chipmunk runs by! For our two week vacation that just ended, I rigged a plywood board just taller than "jump" height that can either go inside or outside, depending on the dog's present location. It's a PITA for us humans when going in and out frequently, but it does the job. I'm toying with adding one of those "Magic Mesh" magnetic screens eventually.
