The answer depends......like most answers do
Depends mostly on the moisture content of the snow. 8" of light, fluffy snow, I'd say no big thing. The wind may blow it off, if it stays cold. 8" of wet, heavy stuff. That's a much different story, and time for some effort to clear it.
The monocoque structure of a fiberglass trailer is much like an egg shell. It is strong. It can take a lot of load, but everything has its limit.
For me, unless it was a light dusting, I'd clear my topsides with a brush attached to a painters extendable pole. That stuff was bought at the BIG box store, and the angle of attack of the brush can be adjusted & modified. All sweeping done from solid ground level, one side at a time. No need to get every flake off, just need to reduce the layer of snow before the next batch comes along. And it will come along.
Last year was pretty good, and I only brushed it off once or twice at the off-site storage lot where I was resting my rig. This year? Time will tell.
