Specifications for 19

Does the 19.6 length of a 19 footer include the tongue/ hitch or is it just the fiberglass part.

Thanks

Graham

Hi Graham

Yes it includes the tongue/hitch and I believe the rear bumper.

Cheers

It is amazing how much larger the Escape 19 seems to be compared to a 17 Casita.

All Casita models are still the classic small-trailer width of 2.03 metres or 80", the same as 17-foot and smaller Escapes. The Escape 19 Foot is wider (2.13 m or 84"), and a less rounded in the front; both differences make the Escape look larger, inside and out.

one step inside an Escape 19 after a being in a Casita 17 seemed like a night and day difference...remarkable how such small dimensional differences in the hulls made the impression so completely different...I still think if Casita ever wanted to expand their market there is an opportunity for a tandem axle Casita 19 with some improvements in the proper price range...but I don't think the family owners or whomever care about it..perhaps some day an investor will improve Casita.

Before we discovered Escape, we were sure we wanted a Casita. It looked great on paper, we loved the photos, floor plan, amenities, and the storage area and specifically that is was fiberglass. Once we actually toured one, it was very tight and claustrophobic. I can't describe our disappointment after we left the owners' home. We were sure we would pull the trigger and make a purchase. Once we toured the Escape 19', it was all that we had hoped for and that's how our story begins.
