Squeaky creaky "floor"

Have had the new 21' for a couple weeks now. But one of the first things we noticed was there was a serious squeak in the floor in front of the bathroom door and around the base of the bed. It didn't matter if stabilizers were up or down. We were pretty sick about it. Was there something wrong with the frame??...with the flooring??

But, ahh, Tammy had the solution. She said some of the 21's develop a squeak at the bed where the plywood trap door rests on the plywood bed frame. She said to just take a candle and rub it along that surface. To say I was skeptical was an understatement because it really sounded like the floor was squeaking not the bed frame. Went to Walmart and purchased a candle.

Voila! Worked!!! Happy, happy, happy! Just wanted to pass this along in case anyone runs into this problem.

Good to know the cause of the squeaky creaky floor. Guess we already know the cause of the squeaky creaky bed frame. Seriously, thanks for the info!

Interesting! Ours also squeaks in that same spot - and it's been mentioned before here on the forums, so I assume they all do. First I've heard of a fix for it. Glad to know it's not really the floor, too. Thanks for sharing.

We have the squeak as well. I thought I had addressed it by sliding a piece of paper with talcum powder where the bed frame met the floor. Never would have thought of the trap door.
