Storage Box Lid

Recently, noticed at our factory installed storage box that the underside of the lid has white spots in several locations. Our 21C is parked in the driveway without a cover. It's has been a pretty wet winter so far here on Vancouver Island (PNW).

Any thoughts on what these white spots could be and what to do about it?

Thanks!

Looking at the second picture, I have a question? Do you have a rubber seal at the top of your box? The angle makes it hard to tell but you should have a seal and if not that is most likely mold from water infiltration or seepage along the top of the box. You can buy a test at most hardware and many big box stores.

Thsnks Steven. There is a rubber seal at the top of our box, on the side facing the tow vehicle, but no rubber seal at the top of the box at the side facing the trailer...that seems fine to me.

I did notice water droplets and even some ice build up this winter on the underside of the storage box lid.

I have always drilled some drain holes in the low spots of the storage box to allow any moisture to escape.....
