stove top loose fix

I have 2018 Escape 21 that I love, great trailer! one issue I've posted about before: the burners come loose, and I have to take the top off to access the burners to put them back together. I'm got that figured out, and often tighten them before they fall apart. however, the 1st time the burners fell apart, I damaged the stove top getting it off. finally, the right side finger that holds the top of the stove broke off. so, now every time I arrive somewhere, I have to put the stove top back together.

my plan is to fasten it down with a screw through the top. not great optics, but should do the job. anyone else out there in Escape land experience the same issue, and come up with a good fix? any comments welcomed. cheers

I ended up using the screws that hold the front panel in place to attach the top of the stove. has been working OK so far. need to acquire some longer screws for long term use. here's pic what fix looks like. cheers

Good idea! Just a suggestion - a little black paint on the screw heads would make them disappear.

Mine came from the factory this way. I still have not been able to attach it properly. Dustin told me how to go about it, I have not taken the time to clip it in correctly.

I'm going out for a few nights later next week, so maybe I'll get a chance.

Not bashing the factory here. I asked to pick it up two days early and they let me. I am very grateful to the entire team over the border for their work and their attitude. I would like to have a closer relationship with the factory thou (repairs).

if you get a chance, read the manual, it has good explanation on how to remove and install the stove top. I didn't have the directions and damaged my stove top taking it off the 1st time. there is a trick to it, once you know, it's as easy as pie. cheers
