Tail lights

Ok folks need a little direction. Looking to replace tail lights on my Escape.
I do have a email in at Escape. But they still haven’t responded to my inquiry on another issue a month ago. So putting out multiple feelers.

I have a

2013 15 B

My LEDs on tail lights are starting to burn out. So searching for replacements.
There is a model number on lens but unreadable.

The lights are

11 LEDs
Overall length 16 inches
Screw hole to screw hole 14 1/2 inches
2 1/2 inches tall

It’s possible has used this light on other models.

Looking for a source or model number for this light or suitable replacement with same footprint.

Thank you.

I just answered you on Facebook, here's the thread I referenced: https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f...hts-26109.html

Maybe someone has some other ideas too...

Thanks Donna

I read that.

Hoping some one has a similar light on a more recent model.

I was able to use my iPad magnifying to get a part number. So I might try the local stores after 4 th.

Part number is
SAE A1S2T2P2/P306 DOT

Unfortunately that's not the model number. That's the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) reference number and the DOT (Department of Transportation) has approved the lens for use on the nations highways. A similar SAE/DOT number must appear on all lens that are approved.

What you're looking for is the Bargman 47-54-001

I'm wondering if these might work without the chrome bezel: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075V59Y1Y...pa_dk_detail_3

last I looked, the bargmans are discontinued and unobtanium. a complication, their wiring connection is off center.

I've replaced my lower two with these, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CAFX2FC/ and I'll be replacing the upper 3 with the same later this month.

These might work as a replacement. They are narrower but the holes are 14.5 inches apart.

I bought a couple of these that looked quite similar,
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013SLZBCE
and intended to use them only to find out the original lights have the wiring port quite off center, so using those would require drilling a new hole for the centered port, and rerouting the wiring between the insulation and shell inside the trailer to this new hole... Both the originals and these have a little 'tube' that sticks out around the wires and has to go into said hole drilled in the shell. I have the extra insulation on mine, so there's several layers of neoprene and reflectix laminated to the shell, so rerouting the wires would be a pain.

ETI still uses the long tail lights below the belly band. They say the ones they use are a direct replacement for the ones shown by the OP.

I would call them to ask if they are not responding to email- which is partsandservice@escape.com

I sent an email. When I hear back, I'll post whatever I hear in this thread.

Well crap, looks like that email address is no longer valid. Guess I'll use the 'Contact Us' form on their website.

Here's the answer from ETI:
Thank you for reaching out about the tail lights. Below is the information I believe you are looking for.

Tail light ETI number ETI-00841, Bargman number STL69RRXB (When I looked this up, it's listed as Optronics Thinline LED at etrailer here: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Lig...STL69RRXB.html

and.... I got three of these to replace my upper lights on my 2014... and the mounting holes are about 3/16" (or was it 3/32"?) too close so they don't quite line up with the old holes.

Well, I think I have found a source for the Bargmans. My individual leds are also failing and it just looks bad.

Two major complications at the moment.

1. I am in the middle of madly packing for a 10 week camp-hosting assignment in Arches and not sure what my mailing address is going to be.

2. The website I am using is not working correctly. In a conversation with the owner (in Iowa) we decided to place a hold on my order until they could update and validate the quantity I need, and for me to validate an address to use while at the Park.

3. (yeah, I said 2) Cellphone and email is going to be complicated to say the least. My update for you all may take a few weeks. I'll do my best.
