trailer cover?

Hi. Can anyone recommend a UV cover for an Escape 17? I see Casita covers online, but I'm not sure it would fit and the door zipper is in the wrong place. Thanks!

Welcome with your first post!

There are lots and lots of threads on trailer covers if you want to use the Search function at the top of the page. But most people who choose to cover their trailers (and it's a controversial subject) recommend the expensive CalMark. Others have had success with the less expensive one found on EBay--I can't remember the name of that one.

We had a Scamp 5th wheel that was parked outside in Rochester, MN. The winters can be cold and snowy with plenty of strong winds. I bought a Calmark cover (see calmarkcovers.com) and it lasted at least 5 years (I don't remember exactly). What finally did it in was the wind, and even then the tear was along a seam, so it was repairable. If you live in a windy area it is important to make sure you bungee the cover down tightly, otherwise it really is hard on the cover. A bit of a pain to do this in between storing and taking the trailer out for a trip.

Thanks. I was having some trouble using the site to search and post, but I'll get better. Looks like the Calmark may have to be the one. We live in the desert, with lots of sun and wind.

We have the luxury of roofed storage, so we have no experience with the covers. But, every time the subject comes up, the Calmark covers are recommended highly by those who have them. I'd go with that.

After going through two cheap covers on my old pop-up, when I needed one for the 17B I bought CalMark, Have one now on the 19, and just unpacked the CalMark cover for my Tundra, which lives outside. They make a quality product. The Tundra cover fits especially well.

I've got a 17 B and bought a CalMark! Works for me!
