Trailer cover

Hi,
Yesterday I removed our trailer cover to start preparing for our summer trips. We purchased the cover from Escape when we bought the trailer 2 years ago. The cover has been great fit wise and for keeping trailer clean. The cover is now no good as the top (white section) has the properties of paper towel and just pulls apart. Has anybody had the same experience? I’m assuming UV light is responsible for this. The trailer is a 17B - can anyone recommend a cover that will last longer than 2 years?

Thanks and have a great summer!

You need a cover for your cover.......... I was going to cover my Escape with shade material used in agriculture. It is up in the attic...........

Sounds like the cheapest of the Adco brand, it just shredded at the end of the 2nd winter. I've had 3 different covers in 15 years, 6 years from the Tyvek Adco, 2 years from what Adco calls the Aquashed, and now 5+ years with the Calmark. The Tyvek one started to get holes in the corners and eventually the side panels (non Tyvek), just fell apart. The Calmark has no sign of wear as yet but is very heavy to work with in the 5.0TA size.

We purchased a "Classic Accessories" cover for our 19 footer from ETI 2 years ago. The top has recently started to rip in numerous places. They come with a 3 year warranty so we contacted ETI. They said to contact the Classic Accessories in Washington. We sent them a photo of the damaged cover, along with a copy of the receipt. Our claim was approved, but the covers are on back order. One will be shipped free of charge next month when they are back in stock. Hopefully that happens!

We bought a custom Calmark cover for our Parkliner. It lasted the 5 years we owned it, and I assume more with the new owners. High quality covers.

We've had our Calmark cover for almost 5 years, for our E17. It shows no signs of wear.
Edit: not cheap, by any means, but you get what you paid for.

Thanks for the advise. I did as you suggested and Classic Accessories shipped a new replacement which I just received today. Should be good for another two winters. Good customer service as far as dealing with the warranty. No hassles and it was quick.

Thanks again.

We had exactly the same problem with our Classic Accessories cover but it was less than 1 year old. The replacement arrived last week.
