First time taking off a wheel on my 21C. That is a mighty awkward place to work a bottle jack—under the trailer!
Had a slow leak in my rear passenger-side tire. Took off wheel and substituted spare (never used).
I'm wondering if it's OK to jack up on the frame between the two axles. The gals who make all those videos do that. Then you don't have to crawl under and work the jack lying down.
Couldn't really use the easy-block method, as I'd have to hitch up, and that's a real pain getting across the yard and lined up; takes two of us. Obviously if we're taking the Escape out, it's worth it, but not for just changing a tire.
Though jacking up turned out to be more work than I expected. First tried my rolling floor jack, but it wasn't high enough. Bottle worked, though I had to overcome my reluctance to crawling under; yes, I know there's another wheel holding up the trailer on the same side, but still. . .
