TV question

I plan to purchase a 22" television for my 21' Escape that I will pick up in early June. The tv weighs 9.3 lbs. I am wondering if it would make sense to install a non articulating mount on the wall for viewing from the bed. I have no interest in watching from the dinette, so the tv could be fixed in one position. I am also wondering if this configuration would allow for the tv to be permanent. Any suggestions, thoughts, advice welcome.

Also, is it possible to reinforce the wall, or a portion of it, where the tv mount is located?

We have a factory installed articulating arm mounted on the edge of that cabinet, backed by the framing. Our TV is 6 lbs, and we take down when in transit. That wall can be reinforced, as the other side is the closet/pantry, and could easily handle 9 lbs. The question would be the rigid attachment you mention and any associated bouncing and jarring of the TV itself. I would talk to ETI about your plans and see if they have any suggestions. There is a fair amount of framing on the backside of that wall and they may have some advise.

It is important to take it down when u travel because the bouncing motion will pull out just about any arm not withstanding the weight. My tv arm was procured and installed by ETI and I just lay it on the bed when I travel or stick it in my TV when I know I’m not using it for several days.
Not the most convenient, but doable.

We had ETI install the TV mount for us too. It is loose and never held the TV in place properly no matter where we face it. We basically have to strap it down (never mind taking it off when traveling) Does anyone else have this problem? What was your solution?
