Upgrading to a 12v Electric power jack

I have a 17B with the batteries in the back. Can I tap into the 12v line used to charge the batteries from the vehicle or do I have to run power all the way to the batteries in the back?

You should sell your 17B and order a new 19 so that the batteries are up front. Much easier that way

You should probably borrow Tom's since his is the new model like yours would be. Just don't use his bathroom. He doesn't like that

Tapping in should be just fine just make sure to use at least an inline fuse should the jack fail. I like to use a circuit breaker because sometimes on certain models if your not quick off the switch when the jack goes all the way up the stopped motor loads up and draws more current.
