Water Heater Not Lighting
Any trick to getting the water heater to light? It worked the first 3 times we used it but now it won't light. I pushed the "reset" button but it was not tripped I guess because the button won't push. We don't have the two way heater -- just propane.

Hoping this is not a stupid question, but you do have the propane turned on. I have forgotten this in the past.

Wish I could help from experience, but all I can offer is call ETI and have Reace or somebody walk you through the adjustment that may be needed on the igniter. I know it's quite simple, but I've not had to do it because the water heater fixed itself.

Got it fixed Glenn. That thread you linked helped me out indirectly. The igniter was pointed fine but there was a large black flake covering the inlet. In fact, the entire burn chamber was filled with black flakes. I guess its the residue from the "burn in"?
Anyway, removed the black residue and it fired up. Thanks for the link.

Isn't this forum awesome! People helping each other out all the time. This reminds me why I spend a lot of time here. Remember when you had to learn this stuff the hard way over years of hard experience?

No kidding!!! Two years ago I decided I wanted a trailer to help me explore the PNW. After some research, this Forum convinced me that the Escape product was the best value available on the market. Then, with literally zero knowledge of any type of RV or their myriad of systems, the Forum and it's very generous members taught me everything I need to know about how to operate and care for our 19'. Without this Forum, I would never have taken the leap. Again, thank you one and all!

And where else, but on this forum, could you get as much information specific to this product, as opposed to tt's in general? I knew there was a reason for this addiction to the Escape Forum!

I have always called it an expensive tuition. Seriously, if I would pick up the 21 without all of the knowledge that everyone has so generously shared on this forum, I think I would be in for a rude shock. Loren

Oh, so this addiction is good. Phew.
(And some folks say all addictions are bad; what do they know!)

This forum was certainly a nerve-calmer when we were pulling our trailer home. Problems simple or complex can usually be resolved through the forum.
