Water Inlet ?
Does anyone know who makes and where to get a replacement water inlet unit? This is the plastic outside cover with a city water connection, gravity feed inlet, and fresh tank overflow.
I find similar online but the openings are reversed. I think the PEX city water connection would have to be lengthened to work. OR installed upside down with the door opening backwards.
Thanks.

If this is the one you are looking at and it needs to be reversed, could it be mounted upside down? I can't remember which way the door opened with my 2011 17 & the 21 has the version without a door.

Here's mine for reference.
I was bending the door here to show that it's not all that secure, even though it has a lock.

Definitely opposite guts. I'd give Reace a call and ask where he got them back then. Of course, the reason Escape switched might be because the ones you have are no longer available...

If it is the same style as shown in this discussion, mounting it upside-down would reverse the intention tilt if both ports, putting strain on the city water hose and making the tank fill port difficult to use.

Have to agree. A search for the exact replacement makes the most sense. There are some used RV suppliers that might be worth a try, as well as a call to PPL Parts.

I don't see a reversed one on the Valterra site.

gbaglo's pictures match my inlet unit perfectly. Mines on a 2011 '19.
Besides the inlets pointing the wrong way when mounted upside down, the little door for the hose would be on the top. A replacement without a door would work better than this option.
I've done some Internet searches and haven't found one. The newer ones I find have a male 1/2" pipe on the unit. Mine has a female 1/2" pipe as shown in this thread about the check valve. I also don't know what the cut out dimensions currently are.
The closest I found is this one which has the outlets on the correct sides. Can't tell if the city water has a male or female connector though.
I'm having trouble with the city water check valve. I've tried to take the city inlet piping apart but can't get it to budge. I quit when I started rounding the brass nut on the PEX line. I think my next step is to loosen and pull the housing outward so I can get bigger wrenches on the nuts. This thread came about trying it source a replacement in case I break it messing around. If I can get it apart I'll either fix the check valve (as above linked) or disable it and put a check valve in the PEX line. The first is easier and preferable.
Thanks for your help.

When we looked at a 19 at ETI I commented on how happy I'd be to have a locking cover. The filler on my Scamp always looked to me like a mini urinal. I wondered if any campground miscreants might get the same idea.
When we picked up our 19 it had the current, no cover style. I was told, sorry, the old style was no longer available.

I originally posted the picture of the locking cover to show how ineffective it was. Besides, the miscreant would have to bring a step stool to reach the water inlet.
