Water leak kitchen faucet in 2022 E19

I found a slow drip water leak from the hot water supply line to the kitchen faucet. It is from the female threaded PEX adapter to the male brass threaded supply line. That type of supply line is not standard in the U.S. Supply lines are female threaded on both ends. Any ideas on what that PEX adapter is and where to get one? I’ll probably browse thru Lowes & HD tomorrow but nine browsing did not come up with anything. There should be a picture below.
Thanks,
Doug

BTW when I tried tightening the black adapter fitting the leak just got worse.

Perhaps removing and adding teflon tape might help?

We had a leak between the supply line and the faucet. Yup, Teflon tape did the trick - at least so far - 2+ months later.

This is the connector to the sureflo pump it's a non tapered pipe thread https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I think what you need is a standard pex to 1/2" female pipe thread like this https://smile.amazon.com/XFITTING-PE...s%2C171&sr=8-3

but it may be 3/8" ?

But first I would try taking it apart and using teflon tape.

You can try the things already suggested but sometimes the problem is caused by a cracked fitting and tightening it up more just causes more of a leak.

Good luck.

Had a similar problem, replaced the outside shower connecting hose with
https://www.homedepot.com/p/BrassCra...142052#overlay

I also retightened kitchen faucet's connection with a new cone washer, that fixed the leak there

And I also replaced a cracked outside shower faucet

So, hot water was leaking in 3 places after the first WA winter. Next time, I will probably put some insulation inside the cab under the sink

Please don't use teflon tape, it's not supposed to stop leaks in these types of faucets. It's all about washers. They expand when it's hot and shrink in the winter, and then fail to expand again when hot water starts flowing again.

Ok, let's start with the basics - the way that water hose installation is installed is illegal in the US. The reason? Use of flexible PVC hose in hot water service is not allowed as it will burst due to thermal expansion.

If you look at the history of Escape, they tried this before with bad results. Reace had to do a US journey to replace the PVC hose he had used in the 21's bathroom in 2017 as they were bursting. Now they are doing it again? You can't fix stupid!

I'm sorry but you need to rip all that garbage out and redo the entire plumbing connection. Get rid of the PVC hose and replace with hot water rated hoses. While you are at it - get rid of all those cluged crimp connections and make the dual water branch made up using threaded brass fittings with one PEX fitting at both the cold and hot water supply connection. That means removing the white plastic tee and replacing everything from there out. A trip to a big box hardware store will have all the hoses and fittings that you need to do this.

I have to explain why I get so upset in these posts. Escape doesn't seem to learn from their mistakes and keep doing stuff badly. When will they learn to actually have someone with expertise review their "changes" before they shove their trailers out the door?

These are on the kitchen faucet. Where else might they be used? Shower? bathroom sink? Outside shower?

The white braided PVC hoses are the problem and they seem to be connected to the outside shower. The stainless braided hoses are fine.

What about the smooth white "T" pieces in the lower left of the photo? Aren't they PVC also? Initially I thought those were the sections you were alarmed about.

Maybe never. They probably think that they are the "someone with expertise."

I stand corrected. They are connected to the kitchen sink - not the outside shower. Still the wrong type of hose to use.

The white PVC T fittings are usually rated for 200 deg F but...
"Not for use with stainless steel pinch clamps"

I guess if you are going to do a job wrong, you might as well go all the way!

There is so many things wrong with that installation is the reason I suggested the OP just rip it all out and start over.

Here is a picture from my 2022 E19, picked up in May, completed earlier this year. The white hoses go to a passenger side shower...

And that matches the OP's water hoses. You need to go the hardware store and get a replacement for the white PVC hose connected to the hot water supply. I would just go ahead and replace both while you're at it just to be safe.

You mean the supply lines to the outside shower needs replacing?

If you never use the outside shower hot water, the hot water hose will probably not fail. If you use the outside shower hot water, at some point it will burst and flood the area under your sink.

Your choice to replace or not but for less than $10 ea, I would replace the hose.

Any idea why they would use the PVC for the outside shower but SS going to the sink?
Could the intention have been to use SS for hot water to the sink and outside shower and PVC for cold water to both but someone didn't get the memo?
