WD Hitch Storage

When owners get to campsite where do you store your WD Hitch with bars?

I like to remove from truck but haven't come up with a suitable, safe location to store while camped. Has some grease on ball and bar pivots and don't want to get dirt and gravel stuck to grease.

I just chuck mine under the tongue. Never had an issue with anyone messing with them or dirt. I use dry silicon spray so it doesn’t get the dirt issue.
Beefing up my Frontier’s rear suspension this month so hopefully I can get rid of WDH. I want to get back to simply dropping it on the ball, hooking chains, power, breakaway cable and go. I’m test towing it on my trip at the end of the month sans wdh.

We store the bars and clips for our Fastway e2 on top of the batteries in the front storage box of our 19. We store our trailer at a storage yard, so this keeps everything secure! We do not remove the ball from the truck when camping.

Like you, I use the front storage box.
The Fastway E2 hitch plus the bars go in the box, and the two clips are left in their respective slots on the trailer side.

Major parts are out of the way, secure and dry. Obviously I wouldn't want that load in the box during travel, so it just makes sense to keep it all in there when you're unhooked for camping/seasonal storage.
