What Is This?

While I was cleaning my 19' Escape, I came across a 9" piece of 3/4" PVC pipe with 4 notches on one end. To me it looks like a tool for maybe a value. I believe it came with the Escape. Any ideas as to what's it for?

Re: What Is This?

I made a similar tool to use for cutting holes in high density foam when I was outfitting a whitewater canoe. I suspect it may have been used for drilling a hole through a piece of styrofoam insulation.

Re: What Is This?

Rick,
It might be a production tool they once used for the 2010 models of the 19ft. Maybe Reace could give some advise.

Re: What Is This?

Sorry....I quoted the wrong thread and now I cant find their post, but it was along the lines of wishing for a magic wand to produce all options available on the 19. Peter

It looks like an electrical junction box, connecter fixture nut wrench to me. Not sure why its not metal. It looks like its plastic.

Magic wand indeed. It was mentioned in the (currently) last post here (#36): http://escapeforum.org/index.php?topic=2154.30

Hi: Jmac... Some of the new junction boxes are plastic so it sounds reasonable to me!!! Alf

Re: What Is This?

Yes, I do know what this is. For those of us who are vertically challenged, this is an extension to turn the knob to open the vent on your fan. The prongs fit around the star shaped knob that opens the vent lid.
