Ooooooo, purple!!

TOGGLE SWITCH SAFETY GUARD OR COVER - PURPLE #665009 | eBay

Thanks!

I'm not going to write to ETI for a label as I already printed one out on my handy-dandy nifty label printer, my Dymo LabelWriter450. I love this thing! I use it all the time. If it dies, I'm ordering another one right away.

I doubt I'll bang into the switch as I'm going to be keeping one of my filler boards and cushions on the dinette all the time as it's used for lounging. The board covers the area where the switch is quite nicely. But, it's nice to know what the heck it is and yeah, I thought it was rather strange it wasn't labeled.

Hi Laura use your Dymo to make on and off . We also have one and love it . Labeled a lot of switches in trailer , including the 3 in our door frame so we don't forget what they are . Pat

One point on the linked cover in the previous post - the handle on the battery cut off switch is too long to fit under that cover. Since it is used so infrequently, particularly by those with solar panels, cutting down the switch handle will work...

Hi Jon . We made the cover Myron came up with . There is a picture in our albums ,of mod . I also later made one for the remote on the surge because someone kept turning it off , by accident . I was just telling Laura to make labels , which we also did , so we know if switch is off or on . I can just pop my head in door and because it is clear can see if it is on or off . Pat

Back to the thread, I was thinking of installing a led indicator light that can wired to be on if the switch is off or vice versa or even a green for on and red for off.

In the process, it seemed that I was always hitting that switch with some part of my body while crawling under and around the table taking measurements, popping the standard top off or putting my mock-up versions on and off the pedestals. I kept thinking, one of these times, I'm going to break that thing, so it got me to wondering why it sticks out so far and should I protect it or replace it. That's the only reason I asked....

You will get use to it being there and probably never be bothered with it. I think we have only hit it by accident once too.

I have to admit, when the question was first posted I thought the answer was going to be "heat pads". I'm a little surprised that that little switch is for the battery.

This is what I call a battery switch. No led needed, it's clearly marked. Also, even if bumped it won't accidentally be tuned off.

Yeah Ron, BUT
Once you're 70, the grip-strength needed for that monster is gone.

Just curious why.
If one looks at the switch, it's rather obvious if it is on or if it is off.
