When on Auto, the refrigerator will switch to AC if it is detected (for example, when you are plugged into the garage outlet). If there is no AC, it switches to propane. If you want DC, you must manually select it.

Good morning Jon, i am currently running fridge off of garage power. If i pull plug does it auto switch to propane ?
Kind regards

I have to say that I replaced my on the 17 fairly early with a battery powered digital. Stopped the "Sprong" noise when it switched, and I hated how difficult the switch was to operate.
-
Jon, the manual thermostat on off switch is tighter than a drum. It's plastic , don't want to break. First upgrade digital ?

Yes thx, I have torque wrench, ext, and socket .I have ball and stinger set with the 2" rise.
-
You will want a torque wrench that goes to at least 90 pounds plus a 6" extension & 13/16" deep socket to torque the trailer tires at 100 miles or so. Particularly important if you have aluminum wheels.
-
I'd take a measurement from the ground to the socket for the trailer stinger, then add it it what you need to get the top of the ball to around 20", thinking that the truck will drop an inch with the tongue weight. Even it you are off a bit, it won't hurt anything over a 4 hour drive.
Enjoy picking up your new trailer!

Sure I get that, everything will be empty, just want to do a 4 hour drive home safely. Then fill trailer and truck for actual use.
